Nursing Mothers & Wives
I want to visit a nude beach with my wife but I am afraid I will get an erection
and what should I do if it does?
Many men have this
fear... but I really don't think you should worry about it... as it probably is
not going to happen..! Generally nudists always carry a towel with them... it
is a matter of etiquette... so if you do get an erection and you are in a place
where you feel uncomfortable just cover yourself with the towel. Rest
assured... nude beaches are not generally a sexual place... and usually after
only a few minutes you will forget that everyone around you is even nude. It is
highly unlikely you will end up getting an erection because you will be
enjoying the sun and the beach... and it just normally doesn't happen. But
like I said before... if you find yourself getting sexually excited and it does
happen... so what... erections are quite normal... but if it happens in an
inappropriate place simply cover it up..!
Health experts the world over agree that
breastfeeding is by far the superior way to
nourish infants. For the vast majority of human history, in all cultures,
this was so obvious as to be unquestioned.
But Western society came
along and declared the female breast sexual. As a result, breastfeeding declined
to the point that an advocacy group, La Leche League, was formed in the 1950s to
counteract this trend. A group to advocate the most natural, the most healthy,
and the most convenient way to feed our babies!
breastfeeding decline? Sexualizing the female breast meant that exposing it was
obscene. The convenient nature of breastfeeding disappeared. Now mothers had to
resort to all kinds of idiotic behavior to feed their infants. They had to hide
their breast--and their baby--under a towel or blanket. They had to be exiled to
another room, away from "normal" people. They've even had to sit in a public
toilet stall as a last resort, rather than exposing that nasty, sexual breast of
This is utter madness!
Breastfeeding in America
is so inconvenient, because of this nonsensical belief that an exposed nursing
breast is obscene, that many women simply choose not to breastfeed, in spite of
the fact that breastfeeding is the healthiest choice for their children.
Because the breast is
sexualized, women want their breasts to look as attractive as possible.
Therefore many women choose not to breastfeed because they're afraid it will
cause their breasts to look less attractive. So the health of our children is
compromised for purposes of vanity!
mothers' breasts are eternally hidden from boys
and men, they fixate on the female breast as an object of sexual arousal. This
body part whose sole purpose is to nourish our children in a natural, healthy
way, becomes a sexual object--quite artificially. Rather than becoming familiar
with this body part and its glorious, innocent purpose in the life cycle of
human beings, we have degraded it into an object of lust. How sick is that?
This madness has got to
stop! The female breast, especially in its function as nurturer to the human
species, must be restored to its original nobility. Women must be able to feel
comfortable nursing their children. They must be made to feel accepting of their
breasts, no matter what condition they are in. They must be able to feel that
the purpose of their breasts is to nurture children, not to be objects of lust
How do we do this? By
allowing women to nurse their babies wherever, whenever, the need arises,
without forcing them to jump through senseless hoops to avoid being seen. The
human race has survived millennia of exposed breasts as mothers nursed their
children. The morality of "enlightened" Western civilization will not crumble at
the sight of a nursing breast.
The funny part is, it's
perfectly legal to do so! The La Leche League's website states:
Mothers have a right to
breastfeed where they go with their baby, even if that is out in public. It does
not matter whether the mother goes to a public or a private place, or even
whether they are in a state with legislation. No one has the right to tell a
mother how to feed her baby, especially a way that increases the risk of illness
to both mother and baby! Legislation has been enacted in nearly one-half of the
states in the U.S. because they want to clarify this right... It is hoped that
legislation will help to change society's attitudes that breastfeeding is
something indecent and should not be done in public....
Babies need to be
breastfed on demand, and mothers should not feel pressured to use bottles.... No
breastfeeding mother should be told that she should have to use bottles, anymore
than a bottle feeding mother should be told that she should be breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding is an act of nurture, not something to be hidden. Mothers should
be allowed to choose for themselves how they want to feed their baby, and our
society should not discourage their choice, especially when it is one that
benefits all of us.
It is important to
remember that women have a right to breastfeed in public whether there is a law
or not. The purpose of legislation is NOT to legalize it, but to clarify the
fact that women have the right to breastfeed in public, or that it is not a
criminal offense, such as indecent exposure. Thus, if you are in a state that
does not have legislation, you still have the right to feed your baby where you
If it's not illegal to
breastfeed in public, then why doesn't it happen? Why, at those rare times when
a brave mother does do it, do people become shocked and offended and try to stop
Because the social mores
of modern Western civilization declare it a taboo. It's an "inappropriate" thing
to do. Exposing the breast is at least indecent, if not obscene.
The truth is, that
belief is obscene, not breastfeeding in public.
Family Skinnydippers as an
organization is fed up with the irrational social obstacles to breastfeeding
that exist. Those obstacles are unhealthy for the child, for the mother, and for
society in general. Family Skinnydippers is committed to changing the attitude
in society that the female breast is sexual and ought to be hidden.
The female breast is a
nurturing organ. To call it sexual is the act of a twisted mind. We need to
allow mothers to nourish their children in the way nature intended; the way that
is most healthy for the mother and child, both physically and emotionally; the
way that is most convenient for the mother (since when should feeding one's
children be a difficult act?); and in the way that will liberate the breast from
the warped attitude in our society that it is an object of lust for men.
The way to accomplish this
is simple: breast feed. Do it whenever, wherever it's needed. In private, in
public. At home, at the store, at the park, even at church. At family
gatherings, at Little League, at the swimming pool. Everywhere.
The law is on the side of
nursing mothers. Medical science is on the side of nursing mothers. Mental
health principles are on the side of nursing mothers. Common sense is on their
The only influence against
nursing mothers is the irrational, unsupportable attitude that female breasts
are indecent and should never be seen. The time is long overdue to liberate the
female breast from its prison of intolerance, to normalize it away from the
sexual object it is perceived to be and back to the instrument of nurturing it
has always been.
